Message you asked a general question, i gave a general answer, there was no reference made as to wheter the car would be used as a daily driver or a thorough-bred drag-mobile.

"But for me, and a lot of other people out there, owning a 500 hp car that is relatively light weight, brakes well, and handles even better is 1000x more fun than just a 7,8,900 hp car that is tuned for nothing other then peak #s."

I agree %100, but if that car with 700hp is turned for reliable power, and can still brake and handle well, doesn't mean it's useless. Alot of people would also agree that 300hp was more than enough for street use let alone 500.

"...have you ever driven a 400, 500, or even 600 hp car?"

To be honest no I haven't, the most I've driven (to date) was 200hp Acura Legend, so I can't make a statement as to whether the difference between 500hp and 800hp is noticeable or not by the driver, but automotive history has shown that 800hp is significantly faster than 500hp (1/4m, 0-60 etc.).

Lastly I haven't read all of Ash's post regarding this "Peacemaker", but I would assume someone pouring this much money into making bigger #'s on his Z wouldn't be using it as his daily driver, thus ruling out the need for street tires, drag radials are always readily available wheter he decides to take it to the track or to the local Friday night Ricer meet. My original reply was just to show that you would do the same thing with a 1200hp car as you would with a 500hp car, take it to the max and have as much fun as possible while doing it.
